We want to thank the Union Fire Company of Leesport for trusting us with selling their 2004 Ford F-550/M&W mini-pumper for them. We would also like to congratulate the Liberty Fire Company of Waldo County, Maine for their purchase. It certainly was a pleasure working with both companies on this sale and we hope it serves Liberty well for many years to come. Leesport purchased this unit from the Charlotte Courthouse Fire Company in Virginia in 2014 as an interim piece. The borough was having the bridge, which split the town, rebuilt and needed something to house on the other side of the river in a small storage shed. This was the perfect piece for the job. But now that the bridge has been completed, they no longer needed the mini-pumper. So it was placed up for sale, along with their 1997 Pierce Quantum rescue-engine. Numerous companies inquired about the mini, but Liberty was the fire company to finally purchase this very versatile piece. The drive home for them, was quite long to say the least. Leesport is awaiting delivery, well in a couple years of a new Pierce PUC rescue-engine.
